Our client is seeking an experienced Mining Engineer to join their team in the North Island and serve in a Continuous Improvement function. The role is a full-time position, and our client is an international mining operator with an established presence in New Zealand.
The position has been established to develop and drive the Continuous Improvement culture across the mining operations and projects. This location for this role is the Bay of Plenty and is close to a broad range of hill country and beach spare-time activities.
This is an applied Project Management role, which operates directly with the line management teams, and works across all current operational projects. We are looking for candidates with the following core competencies.
- At least five years of open pit or underground operations
- Project management experience and the associated levels of cost control, written and personal communication, reporting, and delivery experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mine Engineering (or equivalent)
- Full and current driver’s license
- A Continuous Improvement qualification is preferred.
